How do I NOT send a read receipt with emails?

I have a customer who has a Galaxy S5. Our new corporate email is Airwatch and it is automatically sending read receipts when he gets emails. He wants to disable/not send a read receipt. Since I don't have this device or app, I can't help him.

Any ideas?

AFAIK, there's no setting for this in any e-mail client as the sender is the one who sets up READ RECEIPT configuration when sending an e-mail.

I looked on the stock e-mail app and yup, no option at all to disable this.

UPDATE: Confirmed. Sender sets up Delivery/Read receipts and once the message arrives, the user cannot change this unless they read the message offline. The receipt, however, syncs as soon as the recipient has network connectivity again.
