How do I pin a picture to a homescreen

I have a pic that I want to pin to a homescreen to make a shortcut

Welcome to Android Central! If the photo is saved to your Google Photos or Google Drive, you can use the Drive Shortcut widget -- long-press any empty area of the homescreen, then tap Widgets, then drag and drop the Drive Shortcut to your homescreen. It will then ask you to select a folder or file for the shortcut -- look for the photo in question.

You can also use a 3rd party file manager like Total Commander to create a file shortcut on the homescreen.
