How do I put my Samsung S3 calls on hold to make another call?

samsung s3 cannot put call on hold to make another call

Recently done a software upgrade on my samsung s3,but i cannot put a call on hold to answer another call or put a call on hold to ring another.was ok before upgade
can someone please help.

Which update did you get? Is your S3 on KitKat now? When you get a call while you're on a call with someone else, look at the screen--it should prompt you if you want to answer the call or ignore it. If you answer the call, the other call should be put on hold. When you finish the 2nd call, it should dump you back into the 1st call. Is that not happening?
