I recently got a used samsung infuse that was unlocked to t-mobile and I put my sim card in it. it works but I have crappy coverage everywhere and I can't figure out how to reset it to factory settings and re lock it to att? I think that would fix my signal issues. does anyone know how? i've been missing a lot of important texts and phone calls because of this stupid phone

I would Google up the settings for ATT's WAP, SMS, and MMS settings and make sure they match the current mobile settings in your phone. if not change them and try it, if that doesn't work you might have to call ATT's customer service and have them get your IMEI set up correctly

How do i do any of that? :\

First off, I'm in AZ and on an AT&T Samsung Infuse running Infused ROM v2.2.3

Go to Settings/Wireless and network/Mobile Networks/Access Point Names

Here's how to check and the settings needed. Mine has two access points listed.

The first says "ATT PHONE" the settings are as follows;

name - ATT PHONE
APN - PHONE
proxy - not set
Port - not set
User Name - not set
Password - not set
Server - not set
MMSC - not set
MMS proxy - not set
MMS port - not set
MCC - 310
MNC - 410
Authentication type - none
APN type - internet

The second is called "ATT WAP The settings are as follows:

APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
User name: not set
Password: not set
Sever: not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: none
APN type: mms,supl

If it turns out that you don't have any Access Point Names listed, just hit the menu button and choose new APN, name it, and add the settings in. The "not set" means the field is blank.

My phone is set to the APN called "Phone" and works perfectly but either one should work.

Hope this helps. Try checking and let us know.

Your problems are not because the phone is unlocked.
