How do I remove a duplicate email account from my Galaxy S6?

how do I remove a duplicate email account from my galaxy s6

I'm afraid to delete one of the accounts because the warning that comes up states that pressing delete will remove the account and all saved files on all my devices. This would be thousands of stored emails on my laptop. I just want to remove the duplication of the account not marked default on my s6.

how did you manage to have the same account twice? what email app? what email provider? as in yahoo, gmail, so on

Go ahead and delete the account. It will only delete stuff saved on the phone. Your laptop will not be affected. You might need to resync everything after removal but you should be OK.
