How to remove E-mail contacts(gmail) from my android contact list? (Lolipop 5.1)

Accidentaly, I synced my e-mail contacts to my contact list (Whatsapp + Device phone numbers).

How can I remove them from my phone, and not from my e-mail?

I want to keep the e-mail contacts from my google account but I don't want them on my contacts list on android.

Welcome to Android Central! When you say email contacts, do you mean your Google Contacts? I.e., the contacts that appear if you go to contacts.google.com on your computer browser, and that sync with your Google Contacts app?

If you don't want your Google Contacts to sync with the phone at all, go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your account] and uncheck Contacts.

You can also open your Contacts app, tap Menu>Contacts to Display>Customize, and choose to display all contacts except for your Google contacts.
