How do I replace the zImgae in note 3 stock rom with one I built myself?

Hi I don't have access to fastboot, and built a zImage from Samsung Source for my Note 3. I want to pack that into a stockrom I have downloaded and flash my device with it. I know I have to replace a file within boot.img. But the last tool/script I used did not give me a flashable zip file. Are there any validated and tools for note 3, that I can use please? I am pretty confident about the zImage I have; the compile went without a hitch.
