How do I reset my phone from my PC?

how to reset my phone from my pc

i tried to install a new rom but when it rebooted it didnt want to boot. the phone stays black. I cant enter the recovery menu. ive tried every combination of pressing the power button and taking the battery out and charging it. Is there a way to reset the firmware from my phone while its kind of dead( it appears dead but the computer detects it if i hold the power button home button and vol up button and it sits as an unknown device)

You need to use the program to flash (depending on the model of your device).

ive tried that but it won enter download mode
