Phone boot looping, and seemingly can't reset.
Hello, my Nexus 5 seems to have broken on me:
When it is connected to a power source, it attempts to boot, but restarts upon reaching the Google logo screen (sometimes getting as far as the orbiting dots). The device is on 5.0.1. When not connected to a power source, it will do the same thing when prompted to turn on, and it will do this even if I hold the volume down button to access the bootloader menu (in both cases). For this reason it seems impossible to do a factory reset, either.
P.S. the oft suggested flicking of the power button to dislodge it (with the supposition it has gotten stuck) does not remedy the issue for me, sadly.
P.P.S. I went all out and hit it a few times, and it turned on, but then it restarted again and went back into the loop. This suggests the power button is jammed.
P.P.P.S. If I hit the phone over and over during the boot up, it will come on, but it is unusable as I have to continue to do so throughout the use of the phone (each hit dislodges the power button contact for the duration of the hit, so it interrupts what would otherwise be a hold down that restarts the phone).
So all in all, the power button is broken, what would be the best way to resolve this? I am going to guess the best is a replacement phone from Google (need to check to see if the phone is still in warranty).
