How do I restore text color in the Messages?

Restoring text colour in the Messages screen

I have a Samsung S6. I inadvertantly (by some means I do not know) changed the text colour in the Messages screen to an extremely faint blue.

How can I restore it to black text? I haven't found anything on this in the online manuals.

I would go to settings, application manager, and then clear the data on the "messages" app.
