How do I retrieve voicemail on my S6

Do not know how to access voice messages and what do the phone log symbols mean

Welcome to Android Central! If you have voice messages, you have two ways to access them:

1. If you see the voicemail icon in the status bar, swipe down the notification panel and tap the voicemail notification. That should call your voicemail and let you hear them.
2. Open the Phone/Dialer, and long-press the 1 key (which should also show a little voicemail icon on the key). Assuming you have your voicemail properly set up on the phone, that should call your voicemail, and you can listen to your messages.
