how to root note with tmobile

hello everyone,
i have a note 5 with tmobile and i can't stand touchwiz. i would like to root my phone, but i have a macbook! is there anyway to root it on a macbook?

It will root the phone but then it will be bricked.

If I recall correctly, ATT and Verizon phones come with a locked bootloader, T-Mobile and Sprint do not. If you unlock the bootloader on ATT or Verizon, your phone gets bricked.

As someone who hates TouchWiz and has rooted almost all phones he's owned, the N5 is not THAT bad. Get a custom theme and it'll make TouchWiz immensely bearable. I got the Material Design theme for it, makes it look like a Nexus device.

Or try an alternate launcher like Nova.

Rooting also eliminates the possibility of using Samsung Pay, if that happens to be important to you...
