how do I save a website as a favorite on my S5

And, mainly, how do I go back to it?

Welcome to Android Central! Which browser are you using? On most browsers, when you're on the website you want, tap Menu, and look for an option to Set Bookmark or Favorite. It might be a star icon as well.

I can get to the internet by clicking on the Google app. Not sure what browser.... I have seen and clicked on the star icon several times, but can not find how to get to back. Where is the list of my favorite sites? I know it must be simple, just that I can't figure it out. What am I missing? Thanks for helping a dummy. My phone is a Galaxy S5 running 4.4.2 .

The Google Search app actually doesn't open the browser directly. It opens the Google Search app, which is separate from the browser. Once you've done a search, tapping a result will then open the browser.

Open your App Drawer (the button that looks like a grid of dots on the Favorites Tray at the bottom), and look for either Internet (which is the Samsung browser) or Chrome.

In either of these browsers, if you tap the Menu button (usually a 3-vertical-dot button at the upper right), you should see an option to display your bookmarks.

Thanks, Sir, I think I have a handle on it now. On my phone, to the left of the three dots, is a box with a number. Clicking on this box opens, in my case, 22 sites that I had tried to save as favorites. And, they linked fine!!! I really appreciate the time you took to help me, and your knowledge!
