How do I save contacts by alpha last name first?

Saving Contacts by alpha last name first

Most of my contacts were copied over when I got the SGS5. However, now when I add new contacts, the phone is saving them in alpha order by first name instead of last name, which I prefer. Is there a place where I can select to save by alpha last name?

Go to Contacts > Menu (3 dots) > Settings > Contacts > Display contacts by > Given name first/Family name first

It depends on how you saved your contacts in the first place, i.e. by first name first or by last name first. You may need to start editing your contact list so that they are all in one format or... start saving your contacts as last name first.
