Saving photos to new device.

I had to replace my Nexus 6. I have backed up "all" of my photos. Hoping that they really are "all" saved. I now have my new device and I am wanting to save my photos to it. But I want to do so in an organized manner. Such as putting all the kids pics in the kids folder type thing. Right now, they are all jumbled up because last time I had to do it through Bluetooth. I read through some forums and saw that you can do that by going to the highlights section...but that only goes so far back [in time] and doesn't have all my photos in it. Not sure how to do it, and I don't want to lose any of my photos, like other people have been by using google to store pics. I want the memory card slots back please! :)

Welcome to Android Central! How did you back up your photos--to Google+ Photos? In that case, go to your Google+ Photos page on your computer browser, click More, then Albums, and look for the Auto Backup folder. Any photo you backed up should be there. You can then create new folders and organize your photos as you wish. Once you're done, you can use your phone's Photos app to look at these folders, as long as you're connected to the web (since they're stored in the cloud). For Album view, open the Photos app, swipe in from the left, and tap Albums. The Highlights view only shows selected photos that Google automatically chooses based on various criteria like the presence of people or obvious scenery shots.
