How do i set up my Sony nsx-32gt1 without the remote after factory reset

[Android Central Question]

I factory reset my Sony nsx-32gt1. Now when it boots, it is asking to pair with it's keyboard like remote, which I do not have now. How do I by pass this? I am ok if I could just use the TV as a dumb TV and connect a Chromecast to it.

Welcome to Android Central! That's a 9 year old Google TV (before the days of Android TV), so I doubt you'll be able to get it to work without the original remote. Check eBay for any used remotes.

Welcome to Android Central! You're responding to an almost 3 year old thread asking about a specific Sony TV. Do you have that exact model, or are you talking about some other device?
