Hello! Check in your widgets menu, and you will probably find a clock that has the date with it. Drag it to your home screen. If there is not a widget there already, you can download one from the play store. As for call waiting, you should be notified when you recieve a call while on another call. And you should have options on your screen to answer the new call and such. Call waiting can also be carrier dependant, so be sure to check with your carrier.
