how to stop auto download of pictures to my galaxy tab

I have a new galaxy tab4 and noticed that it had auto downloaded all the pictures from all the facebook groups I am a part of. So pictures from my waterpolo team which I have never owned, where on my tablet.
How to stop auto download of picuters?
ps. I have NOT got the facebook app, this was me going to the facebook SITE through google chrome.

Welcome to Android Central! Can you see which directory those photos are in, using a file explorer like MyFiles? It may be that the browser simply cached all of the thumbnails, and those thumbnails are showing up in the Gallery app (since the system's Media Scanner will add all images it finds anywhere on the phone, unless there's a ".nomedia" file in that directory).
