How do I stop my S6 from repeatedly opening and closing the camera app?

How to stop S6 from repeatedly opening and closing camera app

Never had an issue like this before. My Galaxy S6 keeps opening the camera app, closing it 1-5 seconds later, then goes to a Google screen (with a search bar saying "Ok Google....Start a timer" and a box at the bottom asking if I "Want answers before you look?"....then back to the camera and over and over again.
The home button AND the on/off buttons don't do anything when this is happening, but the back button does. It seems to happen randomly (from home screen, while on the internet, while in others apps, etc.). I was able to reboot by holding the volume and off button for a while, but the problem is still there.
I uninstalled the only app that I have downloaded recently.
PLEASE HELP!! THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21007

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.

This exact same thing started happening on my galaxy s6 a few days ago.
It is also driving me nuts!!
Please tell me you found a solution

I have to ask. Do you maybe have one of your phones buttons set to launch the camera app?
Just thinking of simple solutions first since it wasn't mentioned
