How do I toggle between input methods?

Searches come up with threads about everything but ICS.

When I long press an input field, like previous OS versions, I only get "paste" unlike the multiple choices of my Thunderbolt or OG Droid. Googling comes up with discussions about developer subjects. I'm surprised that this hasn't come up in other threads. Maybe the seach function is lacking.

I use Swift x and Symbols keyboard. They were simple and easy to switch between. However now?!

When I'm using SwiftkeyX, any time I'm typing in a field, I get an "input method" notification. If I pull down, I can change inputs. Seems like either a very strange implementation, or a heck of an oversight.

That's an. Annoyance is there a. Way to disable this pop up? Better keyboard does it too

same with me and flex 9...i dont really like it either but it is quick to get at and change if you want to

I feel stupid that I didn't see the notification bar input option before reading this thread. Of course now that I have Swype on my Gnex, I don't really know if I will need to switch input methods.

If anyone wants to get rid of the notification, you just hafta go into keyboard settings and make sure that the keyboard that you want to use is the only one checked

That doesn't fix it, oh well.. I wish I knew android code...

Does too fix it.

Settings->Language & input->Keyboard & input methods-> make sure the keyboard you wanna use is the only one checked

At least for stock, one cannot uncheck the native android keyboard. So it will always be shown unless maybe if the stock keyboard is the one you use.

You can't uncheck it, but for me, if you configure the Android Keyboard to use the system language instead of English, the notification disappears for me

yeah, it's a pain in the *** if you have to constantly switch between different keyboards. I use "floating keyboard switcher" to make my life easier.
