Something so simple seems to be very difficult.

I have a Pixelbook with a large (1gb) file on it. I want to transfer that file to my Windows 10 PC. I just want to transfer the file via USB without having to go through loopholes like uploading it to something then downloading it again.

I have a USB A to C cord -> one end in my Pixelbook, the other into my PC, but my PC can't see my Pixelbook. I don't know how to get the two to communicate with each other.

How do I do this?

Thanks.

Ugh...

But the Pixelbook only has USB ports, do USB C sticks exist? Then again, my PC doesn't have a USB C port....

Why is this so difficult? lol

Thanks. Might have to look into that.

Crazy that plugging the Pixelbook into the PC won't have the two communicate. Google need to make the device compatible with PC.
Doubt they would. They Google wants you to use their cloud services and the entire point of Chrome OS is to have everything in the cloud. Making it compatible to a PC offline goes against the very purpose it was designed.

The easiest way would be to use Google Drive to transfer files. You can install Google Drive thru the Chrome Web Store on the PC.

maybe something like Pushbullet would work. You have to watch file size limits, there are various similar apps to do WiFi Transfers.
