Hi guys, How do i transfer my contacts to my computer? Iam using an imac if that matters! Iam selling my htc to make way for a new phone (but i dont have it in my possession yet) so i want to transfer my content (contacts especially) to my comp and then hopefully i can transfer them from the comp back to the new phone easily :)

The easiest option seems to be copying my contacts to my gmail account but when i view contacts in my gmail account none of them show so it appears as though they are not being synced?

Any ideas as to the best and easiest way to do this?

Cheers

It sounds like your current contacts are associated with the Phone Account, which doesn't sync with anything (unless you use HTC Sync Manager). Have you considered that program? HTC Sync Manager Overview | HTC United States

I would strongly suggest moving your contacts to your Google account, though, because then they're always safe in the cloud if something happens to the phone. In order to move them, you have to export the contacts first. Open the People/Contacts app, tap Menu, and select Export Contacts. Export them to storage, and then upload that file to your Google Drive. You can then download that file to your computer, and then import it into your Google Contacts on a web browser. See this guide for more info, under the "Importing Contacts" section. http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...tting-started-android-2014-a.html#post3707512
