How do I transfer data from my S5 to a computer?

how to transfer data from s5 to computer

hi i know just connect the data cable to computer and transfer data but when i connect data cable to computer it does not show any thing on the computer and not even on the phone.so how should i make my phone able to transfer data to pc.

What version of Windows do you have? Do you have the Samsung USB drivers installed?
