How do I transfer pictures from Galaxy S6 phone to PC?

How do I transfer pictures from Galaxy S6 phone to PC. I plugged the phone in and the PC does not recognize the phone. I restarted PC, plugged and unplugged multible times.. HELP?

After you connect the phone to your pc pull down the top notification bar and tap on the connection notification and choose storage

I, to, am unable to connect my phone to my PC. I have a Verizon Galaxy S6 running Android 6.0.1. The phone does not have a connection notification button. It does have a Quick Connect bar, but it only applies to NFC. What next, coach? Thanks.

switch pc off. connect phone to usb, switch pc on and wait a few minutes after it boots up.
if it still does not work try this.
disconnect phone from pc, install Samsung smart switch on pc, restart pc, connect phone to pc.
if still not working try an app like Airdroid or Android file transfer.
