How do I transfer Windows playlists to LG Stylo 4 (XfinityMobile)?

[Android Central Question]

I have used Android phone for a long time and can always transfer my Windows playlists by simply synching the Windows Media Player playlists to the Android phone.

But my new LG Stylo 4 will transfer the files but the Android phone does not recognize them. If I create a playlist on the phone (any player app), it is then seen by any other app in the phone, but I don't want to have to recreate my playlists.

Any suggestions?

What file format is WMP saving the playlist in?
What music player(s) do you have on the LG?
