How do I turn call announcment off

Every time I make A call I hear "Verizon Wireless". How do I turn that announcement off?

Have never heard this or of it and not sure when you are hearing it. So when you dial a number you hear it before the other line rings? Or you hear it when you hang up? I'm confused.

Figured this out. If you want to hear this announcement and you are on Verizon just find the setting "Sound when roaming" and check it. You will hear the announcement. I don't know about the other carriers.
