How do i turn off screen overlay?

A

AC Question

I have the Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus. This happened after I downloaded prisma, said app was doing this and now clean master is. (I have deleted prisma) I go to clean junk on clean master and it asks for "permission" which it has. It tells me about a screen overlay detection tells me to go to settings > permissions and takes me to the setting page it wants but there is no option to turn off "screen overlays". Note: setting page I'm directed to I can't access elsewhere and says at the top something to the effect of "choose apps that are allowed to run (ontop?) Of other apps. After playing with these settings for awhile, ( switching from system apps to hide system apps ((top right)) and turning off ALL permissions then resetting) I could use some direction.
Sorry, can't figure out how to post pics.

Welcome to the forums. Most people with a similar problem managed to fix it disabling or uninstalling Clean Master. Worth a try. Tell us how it goes.

Already deleted and re installed clean master. Do I really even need clean master or is CM security proficient without it?

Thanks for registering. Did you get the same messages after deleting CM? If the problem persists take a look at this thread for more possible fixes.

Screen Overlay Detected, what can I do?

About your question. I would disable or uninstall any Cheetah Mobile app. They can do more harm than good.
