How do I turn off Traffic Alerts?

Turning off Traffic Alerts

I recently had a trip and today I am receiving constant traffic updates/warnings/etc from that area - over 600 miles away.

How do I turn off the traffic update feature? My phone is going off every few minutes.

Welcome to Android Central! Are they coming up in Google Now? Open Google Now and see if any of those alerts are there. If so, tap the 3 horizontal dot button at the upper right of that card, then tell Google Now that you're not interested in it.

It's likely google maps acting up, I was having the same problem with my new phone and just fixed it. Open up google maps, go to setting -> notifications -> traffic and you will be able to turn these notifications off.

Its not Google maps its google and turning off all notifications is not stopping them in maps o google
