How do I turn on master sync when my Note 5 screen does not work?

turn on master sync when note 5 screen does not work

I dropped my note 5 in the water and it works kinda...the touchscreen no longer works. I can use the home button, volumes, arrow and back and squares buttons. Before I turn this phone in on insurance, Id like to make sure my pictures are downloaded or synced. However, if I plug my phone into my computer, it will not pick it up as a media device. It just charges it. Can I turn the master sync on somehow on thru my computer or any other advice?

**I have logged into google and looked at my synced photos there...but I can't seem to see the ones I have on this note 5.

You can connect a USB mouse to it using an OTG adapter; that will simulate your finger and let you manipulate your phone even if the touch panel is gone.

You can also try downloading SideSync on your computer and then plugging in the phone via USB. If the app is active in your phone (and unless you disabled it, it should), you can see your screen in your computer and use the mouse and keyboard to control it. It should also let you transfer files if needed.
