how do I unhide the status bar on my Samsung galaxy s4?

Whenever I use the default Internet browser on my phone, the status bar (displays time, battery life etc) disappears. I can make it reappear temporarily by pulling from the top of the screen but I want it to be a permanent fixture so I can see the time at all time. How do I do this?
