How do I unlink linked contacts?

I am using Android 7.1.1 on a Moto Z2 Play and I moved over my contacts from a Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo. I had linked multiple contacts on the Samsung, and then I moved them over tomy Moto. When I moved them over, I discovered I can't unlink them. This is causing HUGE numbers of glitches and bugs on my phone, such as not being able to edit contacts.

Can anyone tell me how to unlink these contacts so I can remove these glitched clones of contacts that are glitching my phone?

Within each contact, the upper right drop down menu should give you a link /unlink choice.
