How to unlock my galaxys5 when 5 finger swipes exhausted and can't remember back up PIN

Can't remember back up PIN. Battery removal didn't resolve. Went to android device manager and changed the password, but the old back up PIN question pops up and I can't get into my phone.

Welcome to Android Central! By finger swipes, do you mean the fingerprint scanner?

If you have 2-factor authentication turned on for your Google account, temporarily turn it off and try entering your Google credentials into the phone again. Unfortunately, you might be out of options if this doesn't work. In the future, I suggest writing down your PINs or passwords on a piece of paper and keeping it somewhere safe at home, if you're prone to forgetting this vital information.
