How do I unlock my phone after locking it with android device manager?

I locked my phone using android device manager when I lost it 3 weeks ago but the phone was found by someone who contacted the number I listed on the lock screen and has since been shipped back to me. I have the phone now and have entered the correct password in to unlock it but it will still only allow me to make emergency calls! Please help!
