How do I unlock my S6 using a backup password if I did not set one up?

how do i unlock my S6 using a backup password if I did not set one up

I initially used the thumbprint option to unlock the phone; however, it did not read my thumbprint properly several times in a row. Now, my phone is locked and I'm unable to use it at this time. I can only make "Emergency calls".

Maybe using your samsung account password?

Keep entering whatever password until it asks for your gmail password. It's the one you use for the Google Play store in case you have more than one gmail.
