How do I update market to playstore on htc desire 3 s

Htc desire still has market installed and won’t work

I can't find when that device was released by doing a quick search, but if it still has the Market app it's probably pretty old. How can you get the Play Store? Get a newer device. Seriously, if that phone hasn't received the Play Services update to upgrade it to the Play Store by now, any attempt you make to get it to a point where you CAN get the Play Store is going to result in a device that's frustrating to use.
