How do i update my rooted samsung note 8.0 from jellybean 4.1.2 to kitkat?

Basically I have been using my samsung galaxy note 8.0 for a while now. I actually received it from my aunt, she used it for a long tine before. It is on android jelly bean 4.1.2. I rooted it a few weeks ago to get this clash of clans hack, anyhow, I was watching some android M features and I realised at how old the interface of my note 8.0 looked like. After some searching, i found out that you can update it to KitKat. I also read that you can’t update a rooted device. Note that i didn’t install anything else on it, no custom rom or frameworks or whatever. I used universal unrooter and it successfully unrooted my Galaxy Note. I tried the software update but it just keeps loading when i click check for updates. Oh, and I also used triangle away to try to change the device status, but it still remained as custom. I am a super begginer on these things, I don’t even know how to flash a rom.
