how do I update my samsung galaxi tab 4 SM-T535

The version of my device is Android 4.4.2 and it doesn't allow me to update it to a 5.0 version

Unfortunately updates like these are staged, so it might not be released in your region as of yet. From other sites I see that the latest update began rolling out in since 2017, so it might still be some time before it reaches all regions if, for any reason, rollout has been delayed for so long. I see that the latest batch was released in December 2018. Furthermore, if your tablet is carrier-branded, it's up to the carrier to release that as you won't get it directly from Samsung.
