How do i use Rakuten now that I have a new account?

I ordered on Samsung.com an hour ago and have the Rakuten extension on my browser, but it doesn't show my 10% back on Rakuten.com. Did I need to link a credit card and use that card? Some places it seems to say yes and others no. Should I cancel and do it again or does it just take a while to post to Rakuten? Thanks!

Resolved (I think). The purchase now shows up on my Rakuten account as "cash back on purchases." so it looks like it took about 2 hours to post. I still have a "cash back balance" of $0, but I assume it will eventually go from one category to the other?

It won't post to Rakuten until the store confirms the order. Mine showed up same day as my order this time around.

You only need to link credit cards for in store shopping.

One last update, I just needed to wait a little as it all came through!

Rakuten initially credited me 2% instead of 10%. When I emailed them, they replied that it'd take them up to 45 days to fix it. But two days later, they changed it to 10%. So all is good.
