How do I use symbols on a Galaxy 10

I need to use a \ on a Galaxy 10. How do I do that?

Welcome to Android Central! Is it a Tab 10.1 (or the subsequent Tab 2, 3, or 4), Tab Pro 10.5, Tab S 10.5, or Note 10.1?

Are you using the Samsung keyboard? I don't have a Samsung device currently in front of me to test, but there should be a symbol toggle on the keyboard--usually one of the keys at the lower left. If you don't see the \ character on that page, then there should be another key (or perhaps that same key) that will show you the next page of symbols.

On the Samsung keyboard it should be on the symbols page, around where the G and H keys are. On the Swiftkey keyboard it's numbers, then the {&= key to get to the next page.
