How do I view files on my computer transferred from phone?

How to view files on computer transferred from phone?

I just transferred all my data from my Galaxy S6 Edge to my computer via Smart Switch, now how do I view the files? I know where they are, but when I try to open them, I get a message indicating the computer doesn't recognize the file type. What program do I use to view them? Messages are what I'm most concerned with.
