How do I wake up my screen while on a call S21+?

I'm on a call, the screen times out and goes dark. How do you wake up the screen? There is no virtual home button, my side key is programmed to end call so cannot use that, double tap does not work, the volume up/down keys don't wake it up.

So other than reprogramming my side key to NOT end calls, is there another way to wake up my screen when on a call. This is stupid to have to deal with this in a flagship phone.

Double tap should work. That's how I wake my phone when on a call.

Whats really really annoying is when you are on one of those long automated calls whereas you enter a # or something,listen, enter another # so on and so forth and you have to sit there and continuously tap the screen to keep it from going to sleep every 5 seconds. I want the screen to stay on for the 2 min duration i have it set at in display settings !

Yes, I would like it to do that as well. I just tested mine a couple times on a call and it shut off around 30 seconds each time plus or minus.

I'm often dialed into long telecons. Constantly double tapping screen to wake phone (tap unmute) then talk is annoying. I use a free app called "Screen On" to keep screen awake while sitting on wireless charger during call.
