Hey guys,

I've seen on the sammobile website that 6.0.1 is available for U.A.E in addition to Srilanka for the Galaxy S5 SM-G900F.

The PDA and CSC start similarly for my Product Code (XFM on 5.0 right now) like the UAE.

This is the UAE one for 6.0.1
:Product codeXSG
PDAG900FXXU1CPD7
CSCG900FOJV1CPD2

Right now I'm on 5.0 and my pda and csc start the same till the numbers 1 but my product code is XFM (South Africa)

So if I were to load the OJV1 would it maintain my CSC (XFM) and not jump to XSG?

Or would it change to XSG?

I've read somewhere that OJV also has XFM as part of its CSC range.

You can flash any other G900F firmware to your phone but if you do so, it will no longer receive updates from Samsung and you will need to manually update the firmware in future. If you still have a warranty, it, "may", be void it . See, #1.11 of 42 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide. Be advised that both the UAE and Sri Lankan firmwares have limited language packs but both include English.

Just flashing a firmware should not change your Product Code and you can revert back to your stock firmware by flashing it in the future and receive updates.

Just an update, kept my original csc when upgraded.

Fingerprint sensor works with slightly more accuracy.

Seems more snapy in general, didn't factory reset just wiped cache.
