How do you add automatically add add icon to home screen when installed?

Got this phone Monday. It is awesome! It replaced a Moto Z droid which was also awesome....until it wasn't. (Battery issue) Anyways I chose the home screen with app drawer. How do you set it to automatically add the icon to the home screen to a app you install?

I was just about to tell you how to find that option in the Play Store settings menu, but I've just checked on my GS9+ and it's no longer there.

I've used Nova Launcher in the past, and I believe there's a setting you can toggle to re-enable add-to-homescreen.
