How do you change the default max volume when answering or making a call in the SUV?

When I answer a call or make a call in my SUV over the Bluetooth in the SUV, the volume defaults at max. The ring is extremely loud or the caller is extremely loud. Is there a way to change the default to a lower volume level?

Never experienced this with any BT system or headset. Doesn't your car system have it's own volume control? Or, is the volume on the phone actually changing? Can you see it change?
