How do you change the Swipe up Function on Samsung 9plus

[Android Central Question]

So I use to be able to just hit the menu button and then see my other screens
Now I see this line to swipe up to see that other screen.
Is there a way to remove that line and go back to having just a menu button press thing there like when I first got the phone?
I hate the line swipe up function.
