How do you change the wallpaper on the main and lock screen with your own photos?

I want to put a photo of me at the Statue of Liberty on the lock screen on my Galaxy S& Edge How do I do this?

Got to settings and then wallpaper. The option at the top left allows you to set what you want.

That's great. But the photo is in dropbox and not on the phone Gallery. I have the Dropbox app. Will the above method recognize the picture?
