How do you connect a Samsung Tab 4 to the internet when the wifi connection is on?

The Wi Fi is on and green, in the right hand side screen t can see the routr, the password has been installed, still cannot get connected The message box says no network connecton.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this your home network, or a public network? Are you certain the wi-fi network is actually connected to the web? You can have a router that broadcasts a strong signal that is still not connected to the web.
