Just noticed the turbo charger that came with the turbo 2 DOES NOT come apart to reveal a usb connector like most other phones, so how does one connect this phone to a computer for file exchange and whatnot?! Help appreciated! Thanks.

Any USB cord should work. What phone did you have before the new T2?

Had Samsung Galaxy S4 which had the charger that came apart to reveal a USB port to connect the phone to the computer. Wow, I am completely unaware that I needed to purchase a separate cable to connect this phone to the computer. I thought the charger comes apart so that we can connect the phone to the computer.

I'm pretty sure it's done intentionally due to the high current needed for the quick charging. They don't want you connecting anything but a cable spec'd to handle the current that the charger can output. As far as buying something, any Micro-USB to regular USB cable will work. It doesn't need to be anything specific. I don't know about you, but over the years of smartphone ownership, I have probably 6-10 cables around the house. If you do need to actually buy something, just go to Walmart and get the cheapest micro USB cable you can find. Amazon is even a better place for cheap cables that work just fine.

This is the fattest charging cable I've ever seen. Must be moving some juice. Funny thing is I just tried connecting my Nexus 6 charger (cable is detachable) to the t2 and the moto clock widget says turbo power, same as with the stock charger. Old lg g3 charger does not say turbo power when charging.

That is the beauty of devices that meet the same specifications. Any turbo, fast charge (whatever it's labeled) charger that is certified to work with Qualcomm's quickcharge 2.0 should activate the "turbo" charging mode of the T2.
