How do you delete the Android Pie update file from a Samsung S9+?

So, for many months I've had it where it would ask me if I wanted to download the android pie update or do it later. I would always click later or just close the window. This gave me an added layer of security to not accidentally install the update. Unfortunately, I was fiddling around with settings the other day as I was setting up a phone for a family member and wanted to check things on my phone and for the briefest of moments, switched 'Download updates automatically' on. At first I didn't think it did anything because I didn't see a download icon or anything, but now when I get my installation 'reminders' they look different and say 'the latest software update is ready to be installed', which I believe said something along the lines of 'the latest software update is ready to be downloaded' before. Luckily it still has the 'Later', 'Install Overnight' and 'Install Now' options and I can bypass it by either clicking later or simply clicking the back arrow at the top, but I don't feel as safe not knowing if I have that second layer of security.

I've tried the rebooting into Recovery Mode and Wiping Cache Data, which seemed to do nothing. I've also tried going into Apps->Show system apps->Software update->Storage->Clear Cache (Clear Data is greyed out) and it seems to do nothing as well. I am unsure what else to do. I read something about a FOTA service but can't find any FOTA anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Why not update? It also updates security. If you are running older security then there is an increased chance of problems. Also the apps in the play store may start having problems and start crashing or won't update.

I'm not worried about security or even play store apps on my S9+. (I've also never encountered a single problem with my S9+ as of yet.)

I bought an S10+ (before the Android Pie update was available for me) and it was then that I realized the most vital component for the phone was missing, the video in Pro mode on the camera app. Seeing as many concerts now virtually make phones the only form of video and pictures allowed, the cameras and especially the software make it more vital than ever to have full manual control over them for the best quality. Samsung used to dominate Apple in this department, because although both manufacturers have great lenses and all-around great cameras, both able to achieve good pictures and video using auto, when you take manual control over video especially with the Samsung phones, the difference in quality is pretty massive. By taking out video from Pro mode, they have essentially not only destroyed any advantage they had over Apple, (in fact Apple is probably slightly higher quality now,) but they make the video in the camera app worthless, (seeing as I'm filming in darker environments where control over ISO/Shutter speed is mandatory for any type of decent quality.)

The closest I have been able to come on the S10+ is with Open Camera, which can give basically the same great control and quality, but has a very weird flicker/ghosting issue when the background lighting is changing and a person is filling most of the shot. It seems to depend on which angle the scene is, as it is sort of a random occurence. It may be either a software issue or an API issue with the new Camera API 2 in Android Pie. Either way it never happens with my S9+ without the update.

The crappiest part of all of this is the fact that the entire reason I bought the S10+ was because the sole issue I had with the S9+ was the 10-minute limit cap on 4K video recording. Besides that, the S9+ (without Android Pie) is flawless and possibly the best overall phone video recorder on the market. I bought the S10+ to take away that limitation, but then discovered after I bought it that they destroyed the very reason I was upgrading to begin with. I almost returned the S10+ because of that reason, but kept it because overall I love the 1TB of space and I do like Android Pie and One UI, just hate the lack of video in Pro mode. The most confusing part of it all is that there was no reason for them to remove the feature, because if anything, Android Pie is designed to make those features EASIER. Not only should it have not been removed, it should have been upgraded. The new Camera API 2 made it possible for other programs to control camera settings that were otherwise more complicated to deal with before Android Pie. All Samsung would have to do is re-implement it into their own camera app, which from a programming standpoint would be super easy, and I know a massive amount of people, myself included, would be super happy.
