How do you like your edge after a few months?

Hello Everyone,

I currently have the Xperia Z3, and am up for a JUMP on T-Mobile in a few days. I first thought that the edge was going to be gimicky, but after we got them into the store and I played with it, I'm very impressed. So, for those of you that have had it for a few months, what are your thoughts? I vowed to never use touchwiz, but the features on this are making me think differently. Let me know, thanks!

I like it fine but rarely use the Edge features. Notifications there are nice.

I have had mine 8 days and love the panels because I have them tweaked pretty well for my likes. Sometimes I execute other apps I did not wish to in scrolling for the panel I want. I am a bit concerned about battery life but I never let it go a full day without plugging it in before it really needs to be recharged. I wish I could minimize the edge panel at times when it might interfere with my silly FB messenger or some notification that lays itself close to the edge (isn't that a Yes song). I have a Skinomi protector on her with a Ringke Flex case and it looks amazing. I think I am happy I swapped the Note 4 out for it while the 4 was still new. I think.

How can you upgrade so quickly and don't you lose money? I heard on T-Mobile it's better to "Trade in" than Jump, but I work for Big Red, so not sure :-)

Oh, and I hate my phone with a passion. It's a lag fest joke. Stock, with Samsung 32GB SD card on AT&T. I want the Sony!

Jump makes it so they pay off the rest of what I owe on my phone. I have jump version 1, which is nice because I then can upgrade twice a year. Is the lag what you dislike most about the phone?

I don't use the Facebook messenger notifications, so I'm not worried about those.

A lot of folks don't use FB notifications. I don't know why I do. What a nuisance! I just turned those dumb FB messenger "chatheads" off. Thanks for the idea.

Had my Edge since day one from Sprint. I can NOT make this up. I can NOT and will NOT go back to a phone that has all the icons on your home screen.

The Edge screen in and of itself has spoiled me. I have all my most used apps and notifications on one side panel. Add to that that the fact that my screen NEVER gets interrupted? I'm SOLD. I'll either keep this Edge until 2016 or NEVER get rid of it if they don't update it.....

I am also interested in hearing more feedback... I have HTC M8 and for the most part its stable not glitchy at all. My last 3 phones have been iPhone 4s> Note 3> iPhone 4s> HTC M8.

A stable OS is major thing for me and thats why I eventually went back to iPhone 4s after having the Note 3. Even with all the perks of Note 3 (customizing, size, style...etc) it was unstable to the point of frustration. At the time, my line of work depended on my personal phone and daily task that included responsive emailing and customizing PDF files promptly. Note 3 sucked and failed so badly, it would consistently not sync with corporate email and crash under original and 3rd party software for PDF customization.

My new job provides me with a phone now... (iPhone) which very stable OS and I have the opportunity to upgrade my current personal phone which is the HTC M8. I want to give Samsung another try and prefer staying android in reap the benefits of both worlds because I do like both OS systems IOS and Android.

I am not sure if the Edge can offer a stable OS, while Samsung is very innovative, they did leave a bad taste in mouth.

I have a Note 3, Note 4, and Note Edge. My devices seem irrevocably stable and always have. That didn't change with the Note 3 and Note 4 receiving Lollipop a week and a half ago. This illustrates the varying experiences one can have with the same type of device.

I tend to agree with the experience you had. A home screen full of icons is just not going to make me happy anymore. I love my Edge.

I'm loving it.Still getting used to the size after coming from the s line of phones. I'm keen for the lollipop update though so i get lockscreen notifications for text messages.

Agree 100%. I don't know if I will ever be able to go back to a phone without the edge scree.

It has completely changed the way I use a phone.

Wow..lots of passion here. I was considering upgrading from my loved S4 to the S6 Edge. But you guys present a good argument. Going today to play around with a Note edge.
Wondering if that the jump in Note Edge size (with a case) from my S4 (with a Mophie) won't scare me away once I get my hands on it.
That said, I multitask a lot and can def see how the extra size can be beneficial and probably outweigh the size issue.

Out if the three phones I own, I take the Note Edge with me everywhere. Since the day I got it, it has been my favorite.

I do have four folders on the home screen with apps in it and still have my most used on the edge panel. That's just my preference though..

I also own note 4 and and an iPhone 6+. I did buy all three outright and all of them are eligible to be unlocked through T-Mobile now but I see no reason to do that.

I like my Note Edge for the 5 months that i had it but since this is my first Samsung phone if I had another option before I would have still chosen an HTC over a Samsung since I have had 2 problems with the Edge already within 5 months and I have never had a problem with my previous HTC M8 having it for 9 months.

Any device, in the right circumstances, can have an issue. What kind of...problem...did you have with the Note Edge? No device can be perfect...but, for me, the Note Edge is durned-near close.

2 weeks after I got the phone I noticed that the camera is not focusing or is just on macro. So Service Center changed the camera. Then recently, I noticed that after hanging up from a call from FB Messenger the sound comes out from the earpiece and not the speaker when playing videos while my music cannot playing saying that "Cannot play music while in a call" when I already am finished with the call. Problem resolves itself when restarting the phone.

Yuck. Seems like a PITA.
